BGSU and Thompson Foundation Award $6.6 Million in Scholarships

Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has awarded a combined $6.6 million in scholarships to 200 high-achieving students through the Thompson Working Families Scholarship program. Each recipient will receive $11,000 annually, covering approximately 75% of tuition costs, thereby significantly alleviating the financial burden on students and their families.

This initiative, made possible by the generosity of Bob and Ellen Thompson of the Thompson Foundation, aims to support students from working families who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and community involvement during their first year at BGSU. The scholarships are renewable, ensuring continued support throughout the students’ undergraduate studies.
